The Nice Guys ruled. You eat shit.
The Nice Guys ruled. You eat shit.
I’ve got some shit to say about Ryan Gosling.
This is an awful opinion.
On the other hand:
And IIRC, he was the one who broke the news about the Access Hollywood tape that so many people thought would be the final death-blow.
In the grand scheme of things it’s minor, but Trump’s election almost certainly cost Fahrenthold a Pulitzer. (He should probably get it anyway, but I doubt he will.)
Somehow shocked you don’t have David Farenthold on here. I mean he exposed Trump’s charity scams and we all thought he would be a big deal, nope did little to nothing. Damn depressing man.
I find this unbelievable.
Diana, your work is incredible and important and thank you.
Newt Gingrich was on the radio this morning saying that the phrase “drain the swamp” is no longer in use with Trump. It was just something that sounded good to crowds to get elected.
I remember last year with Gene Simmons bitching about it being the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame because NWA got inducted and then Dr. Dre and Ice Cube were up there during their induction talking about how people were questioning whether or not they belonged and they went on about how rock and roll was an attidute about…
That bands like Yes and Rush had to wait decades and basically have millions of fans beg to include them just shows how horrible the RRHOF is.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a shit show from one end to the other. Being a great band, or influential, or whatever has nothing to do with getting inducted. The only thing that matters is that a bunch of aging hipsters decided you were cool. It was a tough thing to do, but they even out-shit-showed the Grammys…
It helps if you think of it less as a music museum and more of a Boomer masturbatorium.
Yep. I went to the museum a couple of years ago, and it was so disappointing. Rock and roll has such a rich history, particularly in America, that it was mind-blowing that they managed to make it boring. It was so...corporate.
+1 and a Boing Boom Tschak in honor of Kraftwerk.
Would you say that the heart of Rock N Roll is still beating?
Tina Turner isn’t even in there on her own. She has to share it with Ike. That’s some high level misogyny there, making a woman who is a legendary musician in her own right, share her hall of fame status with her abuser.
It Doesn’t Really Matter what I think, and I’m sure the voters would tell me “Let’s Wait Awhile” but not inducting her is Nasty.
Wait a minute! Janet Jackson isn’t in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?
