I don’t understand the fear of redline, I have daily driven several cars with 200,000+ miles and redlined them or even hit the rev limiter not just every day but even every time I have driven them. Both of my current cars have over 200k (one is just shy of 300,000) and one I use regularly to do limiter-slapping brake

Just for the record - getting tickets on the strip has NOTHING to do with the actual h2oi show, which is a really cool water cooled Volkswagen event. The builds there are each more insane and incredible than the last and it’s an awe-inspiring example of how far a truly dedicated and loving fan base can push a

This car is a crack pipe, not because it needs a lot of work - these are easy to work on and simple to maintain, the M30 is obscenely reliable and can be repaired (especially the oil leaks) with hand tools - replacing gaskets is not expensive. Ball joints are not particularly pricey, but even after fixing this car up

These are exactly the types of crimps I use, they are - as you said- spec’d by my own manufacturer and a plethora of others. I encourage anyone and everyone to use these along with a quality pair of crimpers (blue point/snap-on produces a pair of crimpers designed specifically to work with this style of connectors)

I don’t think soldering is the right way to do things in automotive modifications and repair. I make wiring repairs to vehicles every day and modify my own cars and my friends stuff outside of work and I literally have never soldered any connections on a car. I only use quality (not the plastic covered autozone ones)

We actually still mint pennies? They should have just left them there. What the hell are coins even for? I hate them.

i think I'm going to start watching the nascar truck races because that looked freaking sweet

This article would be fine if you didn’t end it by saying you prefer the 944

I understand it sucks to get your Ferrari hit, and I agree this looks like a... Difficult position to back a car into, but the lady that did it seemed obviously remorseful and you both know there are lots of witnesses and her insurance will cover the repairs. I don’t think it was very cool of that guy to come up to

Well this is in Florida so...

NP. If I didn’t already have a somewhat-sporty/quirky daily/parts hauler/beater then I would be on my way to buy this somewhat sporty/quirky daily/parts hauler. $3k is pretty reasonable for an interesting or fun car that you can just hop in and drive these days. Also that color is dope and I bet $2500 in cash would

This is possibly my favorite thing that has happened in the world in recent history

Drifting is about having fun. That is the point. To have fun.

There seems to be some confusion about this issue. (At least in the comments)

-supercharged v8 (good)

You say “best lancer evolution ever made” but this article is about an evo X... Am I missing something?

But that still makes it more expensive (substantially so) than the M2... We’re both commenting on an article that highlights the “bargain” nature of this M235i - showcasing that the Dinan m235i possibly offers more performance than the upcoming M2. My argument here is that you’re actually paying more for the Dinan car

Yes. It's nearly $3,000 before installation and tax and is not (as far as I can tell) available as an option when you order the vehicle. At that point you are nearly $5,000 above the cost of a normal M2 and you still aren't getting cool wider fenders and hella //m badges, also (maybe) losing out in resale value.

Dinan quality has taken a serious turn south in the last few years and also you’re paying more money and trying to put all that power through an open rear differential, I would definitely stick with the M2.

Idk I don’t own a Miata but if a couple of hott chicks ever wanna jump around on the seats in my evo and then go for a ride with me on track I probably wouldn’t be too upset...
