Honestly if they did something like that Harry Partridge cartoon, I could see it becoming like the animated Danger 5…which I am 100% in favor of, to be honest.

Alright, GJI…you got me this time. I actually enjoyed this.

BadBadNotGood's new album is coming July 8th as well. With that, the Avalanches, and the Descendents, I'm pretty damn excited for the musical prospects this month.

I'm going to argue for Mixmaster Mike. He was the best part of a lot of the songs on Hello Nasty.

I listened to that first Bloc Party album again recently; it's surprising to me how much that album has held its value, if not gained some, after aging 10 years.

Barsanti didn't even refer to Michael McDonald as "Clone High's Michael McDonald." I would think that's a little more noteworthy than being a "six-time Scrubs guest star."

Can comes to mind as a group that pulled off 2 separate frontman changes while still releasing quality work (depending on how you feel about Soon Over Babaluma and onwards).

Shoutout to The Two Man Gentlemen Band who continue to enhance this show with their background music. They've been handling the genre-based episodes with some pretty damn impressive musical dexterity.

This hit me unbelievably hard. I don't usually react to celebrity deaths like this, but I got really close to crying. It's so unexpected.

They were original. The phallus was a huge thing in ancient Greek comedy. If I'm remembering correctly, when he used them in his comedies the intention was actually probably to parody the playwrights who used the phallus ad nauseam in their works (especially in The Clouds).

It's such a weird experience to listen to the songs on that album. Songs written by an insane doctor for his insane patient. There's really nothing else like it that I can think of.

Some of the Beach Boys bootlegs from after the Pet Sounds era are f**king insane. The SMiLE bootlegs are obviously masked in their own mythos at this point, but others like Adult/Child, the Caribou and Cocaine Sessions, Sweet Insanity, Dennis Wilson's unfinished Bambu album, etc. are all really strange and in-depth

California Gurls…

It really is. I honestly couldn't believe it. Random Name Generator has been on repeat in my room for a good while now.

*"YahoooooooOOOOOOOOOoooooooo" heard softly in the distance*

Are you planning on doing some coverage of the Brian Wilson Biopic making rounds at TIFF? I'd love to hear what you had to say about it.

I'm not sure why, but Dick's outburst in court, and Jackson's incredulous response ("Is that a threat?") made me laugh way harder than I should have
