Cracker is short for “whip-cracker,” insinuating someone being called that is either acting like a slaveowner or the employee of one. Meaning that if someone calls you a cracker, it’s probably because you’re being a fucking cracker.

Right. Nobody is talking about what he did to earn that box of crackers and photoshopped image. They sure as shit didn’t do that just because he’s white.

As a white guy I know cracker is intended to be a derisive term, but no way in hell is it anywhere near as offensive as the n-word. It may be not a tasteful word to use but I would not expect someone using it on me to be expelled, or disciplined much at all, like I would be if I used the n-word. Usually you earn it,

The best part is that this moment will live on forever in Google’s search results, making it easy for all of his future *hypothetical* employers to give him a hard pass.

So the people who voted for a man who “says what he thinks” are now afraid to say what they think?

Christ on a cracker...

I have therapist friends with white clients whining about being Trump supporters who are “now afraid to say what they think”. It’s stressing the therapists out, because they’re like the rest of us - “How did you even exist in the actual world before this” ...

“...what I took away from that part of the conversation was that he was trying to justify their behavior because it was a response to the election of President Trump.”

Carlson, making his trademark ‘watching two dogs in full 69 at a distance’ face

While claiming credit for economic growth that was a result of the previous administration’s policies isn’t anything new, they’re not standing and clapping for you because you’re a racist prick, you moron.

I’ve noticed a nasty tone in several Splinter posts lately.

This post by Morgan is just fucking obnoxious. Which is the default around Gizmodo Media these days. Yeah, Joe Kennedy III is a white male, who the fuck does he think he is? I’ve followed the guy a bit and he seems like a good man with good ideas, well meaning and maybe has potential.

The Kennedy’s had a throwback idea of politics as a public service, so they make a good contrast to many contemporary politicians.

I’m not sure this was viral, but here was his response to Paul Ryan’s “healthcare” proposal:

He’s had a couple, google ‘em. He’s a good speaker who appears to be genuinely passionate about what he’s saying, and a good storyteller while speaking. Connects with his audience well, etc. He’s a pretty solid choice if you’re looking for qualities that will balance Trump’s style and delivery.

I don’t understand the level of disdain in this post. Kennedy has had several moments in the last year go viral. The current heavy hitters don’t normally do the response so Kamala and Booker are out. I guess the could have chosen Pramila but she doesn’t have name recognition. It would have great if a POC was chosen

PRESIDENT DRONE STRIKES? Fuck you, go to hell, and I fucking hope you aren’t greeted in that hell by all the nice and decent folks ripped from their families by trump and republicans. You are a garbage.

I believe it was a reporter who was trying to blackmail Letterman.

A couple more things:

Was he trying to kill civilians? I don’t believe that for a second. We’ve gotten a lot better at avoiding that over the years. It happens, and it sucks, but I don’t imagine that he ever made that decision lightly.
