I've met Prince Philip (long story) and he's ridiculously twinkly and charming. You can tell he's spent his entire adult life conversing with people he's never met for a living, because he manages to make it seem as though your small talk is the most fucking fascinating thing he's ever heard!

The titles they give out tend to be old aristocratic titles that have died out due to lack of male heirs - they would have once had an estate associated with them, but they've usually been long sold off, or sometimes incorporated into the Crown Estates.
