Buzzkill and Fourth Wall. Love it.
Buzzkill and Fourth Wall. Love it.
Though I did enjoy his 5 second cameo in First Class. Hit the right note.
My only concern is that they're going overstuff the film with too many mutants/minor characters like in (deep breath, I'm about to acknowledge its existence) X-Men 3. There's only so much screen time for character development, and this franchise is more guilty than most of including characters for the sake of 'ooh…
Yeah, I'm pretty sure HBO would just take the opportunity to have every single female character get naked at some point…
I didn't like the books, but this isn't even close to the right criticism for this particular story. To be fair to Roth, the love story is pretty incidental and the main character does have better things to do/think about than the boy.
And frankly, I thought insufficient development of minor characters (hell, even some major ones) was one of the biggest weakness in the book series as well. People would die, and I just wouldn't care.
I happened to pick the books up while traveling. I was halfway through the third when I finally got home and was so relieved that I wouldn't have to read further. It was so bad.
There's genetic enginnering involved, but I think it made it even
dumber, if you can imagine. See, generations into the past, they
attempted to ~correct the human genetic code and eradicate "bad"
qualities and increase the "good". When that went badly, they tried to
to go back to the original and a war started. Now…
