It’s not often I get to read a viewpoint more cynical than my own.

It isn’t about making a profit, it is about using the Uber “gig” model to destroy workers rights and bring about their faux-Randian techbro paradise. The Uber project is not commercial, it is ideological. The name alone should give that away.
