haha... I was there 14-10 years ago; I wish I was there now. Maybe see you in the sandbox soon? I will be there for a year.

9th BS at the moment... Ill see if I can dig up a fuel spray vid.. think I have one where I am on nogs..

It's not that bad, unless you start getting fuels spray across you windshield...

Such cute little targets....

"there are toilets, racks and even a small kitchen IIRC" Um, no. The term 'galley' when it comes to strategic bombers is a very loose term. B-2s have a modified cot that sits in-between and aft of the pilots, and a small chemical toilet and thats it. In the B-1 its about the same — we sleep in our ejection seats,

Because all cocktails use this limiting ratio? Can't make a proper Negroni with this, hence it is crap to me.

Someone else beat you to posting this first, but I still must give you props for listing this... every home bar needs a couple of these, plus your list and that's it!

You sir, are 100% correct! I have three; 2 stainless and one plastic, and recommend the plastic for best utility.

absolutely no effect on the aircraft maneuverability...

can be severed if needed as well.

your concept of a ECM drone in formation is interesting, but ultimately it would need a pretty amazing power source to keep up. way easier to tow it behind me.

Yeah that purple thing is whats called a travel pod... in an F-16 (the aircraft pictured), there is literally no room for anything more than a pilot in a cockpit.. so when they have to take the planes somewhere, the use that pod (probably painted purple as squadron esprit d'corps) to put their extra gear/luggage/cans

stupid kinja.. sorry for the repost spam.. it kept giving me an error.

Yep, but the decoy launcher is up and to the right in the picture.. at the top of the other hard point.

Inflate? LOL. it doesn't decoy a missile by changing its physical size.

No aviator calls this a "little buddy" no matter what copy-pasta tells you. It is known as the duck or the dog (this being the official brevity term for it).

You put out another decoy... my aircraft carries 8. Besides, incoming missiles are highly unlikely to actually hit the decoy as it is very small. They will most likely fly right past the decoy and then detonate shortly after once a valid guidance signal has been removed. Decoy will remain behind the aircraft

They will fly past it in most instances and then detonate at some point once the missile or system no longer thinks it on a target aircraft or it no longer receives valid signals. Decoy stays back here

The F-111's mission was a light, fast bomber able to penetrate under Soviet-style air defenses via LANTIRN (low altitude tactical infrared for night) and deliver very early generation laser guided bombs (short flight time, constant laser on tgt, etc) ... once the B-1 and F-15E came online in the late 80's either of
