Also a 2 for 1 to avoid more wedding scenes. Thematically relevant and the payoff of all the Felicity&Iris conversations throughout the event. It was a win for everyone but the most hardcore shippers.

I was happy Oliver just killed this doppleganger.

If you hover a post, 3 circles appear to the side, those open the drop-down with the block.

you’re the real MVP

Thawne’s speech while threatening Felicity was really well written and acted. It highlighted that even the non-super heroes had their moments to shine.

I was sort of hoping Tovey would join the Legends.

It feels like he grew into the role well over the last few years. I have no idea where they go from here for him.

Thanks for being the first and ONLY arrowverse reviewer to actually talk at length about the episode instead of going on about the notion of crossovers. (Like seriously, the Flash review didn’t even talk about part 3, not even a little).

It’s some new ground for their production teams and the network I’m sure. This is the first time anyone has tried such massive crossovers between so many shows.

CW even has special deals with Netflix, and these crossovers are going to keep happening. I’m sure a programmer or two at netflix can whip up some special modifications to their interface to more naturally splice these events into the seasons.

Also a movie that doesn’t feel the need to introduce you to all the characters, saving a massive amount of runtime for fun interactions and teamup fights.

I totally agree, the slower build is working for me as well. It’s also left them more time for them to find their powers and the “moments of wonder” as they experience them have all been done really great.

I don’t know, a lot of the Netflix shows are dark and gritty in the way that they forget to ever have fun. The super campy CW shows are probably a bridge too far for most people, but I don’t think I will ever watch Daredevil S1 a second time, it just... isn’t an enjoyable place to be.

I’m happy this show has been so good, I’d probably have watched it to stare at him even if it was a trainwreck.

I’d imagine this lets them get the show out sooner. Also, at least so far the special effects have looked good where they’re sparsely used, as the show ramps up maintaining that quality will probably need the extra time of an extended release.

It was a flashback to the final pair of parents funeral, Amy was there, alive at the time.

Her grand daughter is a time traveling water-assassin, I think her concern for the future got re-complicated.

Their perspectives of people from the past and future also are interesting. Amaya’s misunderstanding of the complicated nature of the Vietnam War was a good note to be able to hit. As was Zari’s revulsion to ARGUS, who in the present are ostensibly a force for relative good.

His only clear motive is to not die, he probably wants to use Barry’s ability to regenerate to save himself, which (so it can’t be solved with a conversation) I’m assuming would be lethal to Barry.

It’s a million times better than any villain he needs to ‘run faster than’, so no thanks.
