I did read that, and appreciate Sean taking the time. I also think an acknowledgement from the Club as an entity would be nice.

It’s possible that folks like IV and Sean O’Neal don’t want any fuss made about them leaving, but otherwise, wouldn’t it be nice to have some articles acknowledging them and wishing them a farewell? Just a little Newswire or something, signed by the AV Club. I think it’d be good anyway.

Man, Univision just cut the fucking soul out of this website.

He was one of the best remaining parts of the site. Time to revive The Dissolve!

Well, that sucks, but I wish IV a lot of success in his future ventures. I’ve been following him since the (sadly) short-lived At the Movies reboot. I had always assumed that Jacques Tati were pretentious French nonsense, but his recommend of Play Time got me to check it out and challenge that assumption (Obviously, I

Best of luck, Ignatiy. You had an absolutely stellar, inspiring run here.

Mr. Vishnevetsky is leaving the AV Club. -

Never go against a Sicilian when death is on the line? No wonder he partnered with Mussolini.

I think the scariest prospect would have made no invasion necessary. Britain makes peace after the battle of France and nominally preserves the Empire while making it subservient to Germany in all other respects.

If you click that link at work, you’re a braver man than I.

So many jokes.

Here is a great article about a Russian scientist almost single-handedly trying to recreate northern subarctic steppe grassland ecosystem (including mammoths) to fight climate change Welcome to Pleistocene Park

The Beeb did a pretty lengthy article about it... here.

I was impressed to read a few years back that wolves still live in places like Italy and Spain, often not far from cities. They adapted thousands of years ago to live a lot like coyotes in the US, living solo or in very small packs instead of the larger packs elsewhere, and doing a lot of scavenging and stealing

What do I call it, Kif?

Every so often, a headline will pop up in the UK papers about wolves being reintroduced to Great Britain, though I don’t know how far along these schemes are or if they’re even going to be allowed. That first link mentions brown bears as well.

Who claimed this? Who?
