Now that I think about it, this new Mazda2 would be a great platform to introduce a more aggressive Mazdaspeed 2, to compete with the Fiesta ST. I think this design would look very cool dressed up (or down, depending on your perspective) as Mazdaspeed.
It's good news for those who don't have vast sums of oil money stashed away. The new Zonda? Really cool looking. The new Maserati? Very pretty. This new Mazda2? The most exciting, since it can be bought by proles like me.

Hyundai/Kia should really either buy Lotus or contract them to deal with suspension tuning.
