Man, Civil War. While we're on the topic of deeply stupid crossover events. Why is it so hard for comic lines to just tell a cohesive story? Reading Ms. Marvel has really reminded me of what I liked about the Ultimate books. All of this massive, universe-warping bullshit happening in the background and, save for some

Oh man, I am SO ahead of you on hating Ultimatum. By far the shittiest book that I've ever paid for.

And that is dumb too! The great thing about comics multiverse nonsense is that when the company gets tired of a line they can shelve it, have it exist off in its own little bubble until someone wants to take a crack at it.

I'm upset about literally all of it. I liked that version of Peter. And Aunt May. And Mary Jane. And Gwen Stacy.

The second one. Everyone in that universe has been written out of reality. Or merged with their 616 counterparts. Or some other ill-defined nonsense.

Like my reply to Punxy says below - Ultimate Colossus got written out of existence in the last major event. Which, considering he was one of the reasons I started reading comics in the first place, is super depressing for me. I recognize that I'm probably in the minority there, though.

Have they retconned him into being an inhuman yet? Because if not, that's probably why.

I swear to god, Marvel. If you kill off one of your very few remaining gay characters, I'm swearing off the comics for good.

I had literally never heard of it until this article, and I spend a lot of time on the AV club. My only response was "oh, I guess that's what all those jokes on Community were about."

Damn it, and here I was hoping that Bjornson's real major debut into film would be as a quiet, sensitive young artist in the next "Safety Not Guaranteed" style mumblecore flick.

I wanted to say rubber bullets. Then I thought about the fact that Ollie shoots people all the time.

Unrelated - this show really can't get to the Ahsoka/Vader showdown fast enough, can it? I keep watching the midseason trailer and that line - "Do you know what I've become?" - gives me shivers every time.

Wait, is the Mortis arc not considered to be good? My friend is having me watch this show with him, and we're in the middle of the Nightsister's arc right before it. With the exception of "Heroes on Both Sides" and its related episode, and small bits of the Sabine stuff ("Who will prove themselves a cold-blooded

It's as Jon on the nose of Plain's face.

Almost like he's . . . versatile.

Gabrus reminds me of basically every dude that I wanted to sleep with in high school and college, but was way too intimidated to approach.

It wasn't supposed to be that the circle was closed in that particular way, I don't think. Rather, the crown was on Finn's head for the whole time and was then transported back in time to a place next to the bomb.

Well then it's good that I asked! Because that is the sort of comment that I see thrown around, occasionally. Usually by elderly relatives and armchair anthropologists, haha.

Based on the reply you made to yourself, I can't tell how much of this is genuine, so I don't know whether it's worth my time or yours to respond to it with anything approaching emotional honesty.
