(Book spoiler-y?) If I recall from the book, her teenage son died in a skiing accident.

You'd better watch it, he could know about some wicked plants.
I just had this year's first slice of fresh, local cucumber and when you've been deprived of fresh greens, is it yummy.
I was sorry Errinwright knocked off the Russian-Martian. He was easy on the eyes, too.
And Naomi looking at the little black boy with his mother… no doubt thinking of her own.
Mao's ship seemed to be in orbit around Earth - wonder if they have a territorial limit as on the high seas - so presumably not close enough for Fred Johnson's involvement.
I wish they hadn't actually shown the monster in next week's previews. I prefer having the suspense drawn out.
Haven't read very far in the books, but since she is said to be of Polynesian descent I would guess not?
Speaking of which… I thought I heard Maartens or Errinwight refer to "Caliban" - is that meant to be the name of the protomolecule project?
Has anyone else noticed that except for Avasarala (and some hookers) every single person on the show is wearing either a uniform or something drab?
I don't think this is too spoilery after the fact, but in "Leviathan Wakes" they didn't suddenly throw themselves at each other - she actually turned him down and he had to beg. Afterwards she lays down the law about their relationship: "It's exclusive until one of us decides it isn't." Well, that'll work.
When Alex was talking to the ship's central brain I'm so glad it didn't answer him back.
I was thinking that 200 years in the future they will have discovered many new algorithms that facilitate those maneuvers.
I am only reading "Caliban's War" up to where each episode goes in the series, so I was up last night embroiled in the crew's Ganymede fire fight. Different but still gripping. I've never read "military fiction" but I expect it must be like the scenes in CW.
Regarding sexiness, de gustibus non est disputandum.
Of course, in an enlightened society many people would be bisexual.
Tamara Dobson! (Well, her granddaughter, maybe.)
When Avasarala was explaining to Bobbie that most people on Earth don't work, she didn't sound to me like she thought it was a good thing. Rather, it was the fact of life on a planet with 30 billion people. A roof over your head and 3 meals a day keeps you alive, but that doesn't mean it's living.
I really wanted to give him a hug. But how many beer cans were floating around?! Drunk driving is one thing, but drunk spaceship flying…
Could you explain more about what a magnetosphere is, for us non-scientists? I've really appreciated the "Science of the Expanse" features on syfy.com, but I don't think they have discussed the magnetosphere yet.
