I don't know about the actress - the character is of Samoan descent, and NOT a little bitty thing, while the actress may be part Maori.

I was disappointed that they made the mating of Holden and Naomi into the standard TV "2 kisses and he's picking her up and doing it against the wall". Passion is fine, but please, we could use more than 10 seconds of foreplay.

Season 1 goes up to about chapter 27 of the first book. I read up to there last year, then the rest of the book after the season ended. So I would advise you not to read any further yet - the next episode or 2 are going to be doozeys.

The banality of evil?

Like me, you have rarified tastes.

It was nice that they had an homage to the late Richard Hatch who was on the original BSG.

I really disliked Amos at first, but I've had a year to mull over the characters, and he has definitely grown on me and is more and more intriguing. I wouldn't mind a multi-some with all the Roci folks.

She seems a little young, to me, but man is she tough.

Also the Martians, as one might expect, are really into being tough. They're the descendants of pioneers from Texas.

I wish The Expanse, Legion, and Samantha Bee weren't all on at the same time. I don't think I've got the capability or technological fortitude to do on-demand.

I work in a library archive and we all feel we are preserving the culture of today as well as of centuries past, protecting against the ravages of the future.

It is said that only 10 percent of Anglo-Saxon literature survives.

I got digital TV just so I could watch "Vikings". Now I want a large-screen TV so I can watch "The Expanse" properly. Television will drag me into the 21st century yet.

Especially when they photobomb the action with an advertising banner. That includes good old PBS.

So who was the other boy with Alfred? I thought Magnus at first, but he had already been kicked out.

I'm 66, so anytime someone dies before they're 75 it feels too young for me. Especially if it's from actual natural causes, not a drug overdose or car crash.

And yet she kept doing it over and over. She must have loved Albert too much to tell him "No more children", i.e. no more sex. Mortality being what is was in those days a monarch did need more than a couple children, but Victoria had 8 or 9.

The tricky thing is making a despicable person watchable. Scenery-chewing isn't enough: the audience has to care, in whatever perverted way, for the character.

Well, if you like having sex without bothering to see your partner, fine.
