When you embed an image, you can center it, or position it left or right. On a laptop, positioning an image left or right looks cool and allows the text to wrap around it. This is useful in a news article if, say, you have a profile picture of a person you’re writing about.

They should’ve rebranded Hangouts and rolled the Allo features into it. New logo, new name, new skin. Then market it to iOS uses and make it the default messaging app on Android phone.
