ohh but who can forget the atrocity of Terra Formars live action or hit/miss Blade of the Immortal, somehow I feel he does certain movie just for the money, but hey I do enjoy As the Gods Will....

Actually a lot of good quality films comes out of Japan by talented young directors. Language barrier and lack of proper subtitles might hinder you from watching one.
