There have been shows about what it was like behind the scenes at Married With Children, and they had far more women on the crew than most shows back then. They knew it was supposed to be subversive and satirical. It may just be one of those cases where the most convincing assholes are played by the nicest people.

“Golden Girls is probably your safest bet for a harassment free set. But then even there who knows?”

At least all of the characters were open with their depravity

Soon the only TV show I’ll be able to watch from my childhood will be “Married with Children”.

You may enjoy From The Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, not only because it’s a charming little book, but because the grammatical pedantry in it comes from the mouth of a 12-year-old (offered in service to her 9-year-old brother). Delightful!

Its backed by libertarian ideals and stolen electricity.

Pretty sure a lot don’t go to therapy because they’re afraid of being reported, even if they’ve never acted on their urges in any way. From my recollection the legalities are really sketchy here. Not excusing what he did, but I think there are some fixes we could make in our mental health system to help people with

I don’t know if what I’m talking about has a name, but this is one of the best “trailer endings” I’ve ever seen.

If its the LL field, I think it is ... the reporting on this is a little unintentionally deceptive. The field backs up against a very large canyon area that people ride horses in and hike around in. He was back in the canyon area and out of view of the LL field - just sort of near it. So, it’s not like he was dangling

I had a high school acquaintance kill himself in a very similar situation. There’s a real mix of emotions — as much as I’m angry on behalf of the children he hurt, I’m also grateful he can’t do it anymore and sad about the wasted life. I feel the same about Salling, though obviously without the personal connection. I

How about we don’t shit all over the (largely young, queer, and female) population of folks who create fanwork so we can point and laugh at them while making actors uncomfortable? It’s really easy to not do that.

Caitlin Moran did this in 2013 and all it did was embarrass the actors and devastate the young woman who’d written what they were forced to read. It’s a shame that Page Six (and AVC) didn’t learn the lesson five years ago.

You say that now, however, I bet you will have different thoughts after you have to replace your computer twice a year because browsing the Internet destroys your processors.

“This Week’s Best New Comics Star a Black Journalist, Tentacle Monsters, and Space Ghosts”

Alas, not all in the same comic book. Because that would be awesome.

The fact that Suicide Squad got nominated -yet Wonder Woman didn’t- is all the proof we need that the Oscars are worthless.

Suicide Squad won an Academy Award. Wonder Woman really should have been nominated somewhere, for no other reason than to acknowledge the first female-lead/female-directed superhero blockbuster. Probably Costume Design.

Academy Award nominations are only ever sort of based on merit to begin with. There’s always

Wonder Woman was not good because the others were bad. It was good all on its own. WW was a very enjoyable, important film that was also equal parts beautifully made and fun. Not Oscar level, maybe costuming, but all those things are true.

Dunkirk isn’t going to win much. Get Out’s biggest rivals are Three Billboards and Ladybird.

I'm still sort of sad that the collective consciousness seems to have forgotten and disposed of "The Conjuring" so quickly. It was probably my favorite of the recent wave of high quality horror movies.
