@Totenglocke42: I've heard it from multiple sources. google "resting hand on shifter" and you'll see it's not just me. Some cars' manuals also say the same. I'm not 100% sure since I'm not an auto engineer or anything. Perhaps it used to matter, but doesn't now, but hey. Doesn't hurt anything to not rest a hand

@fznmomin: Already exists. People with DUI convictions sometimes are required to have them installed in their cars. Easily worked around though - blow up a balloon before going to the bar, use said balloon after in order to start car.

@Totenglocke42: Keeping your hand on the shifter is bad for the transmission. It's not too bad, but it builds up over time.

@theimmc: A friend of mine has suggested (not seriously) to have airbags removed from vehicles and replaced with spikes on the steering wheel. That would eliminate virtually all wrecks. Of course, those that do still drive would probably hit a max of, say, 10mph.

@Grindhouse Murders: I think that they're all operating systems. RIM, Windows Mobile, Symbian etc are all OS's as well. It's a valid comparison - just like comparing Microsoft vs. Apple by OS rather than how many iMacs sold vs. Toshiba Satellites (random example).

@FrankTheHLYTank: But hunting blinds have to be set up and left there for a while in order for wildlife to get used to it and not avoid it because it's strange. Kinda doesn't work. Hunting blinds are also, you know, much smaller and not humongirnormous.

Wouldn't it be easier to just take a faceplant into the lawn and breath heavily? You'll look just as crazy, but with no effort!

@JalopJeff: I'm assuming it's the class. Performance, Supercar, Sports or something like that.

Great hunting vehicle. I'm sure animals wouldn't see it coming from, oh, 10 miles. I fail to see the point unless you're hunting elephants. Tremendously stupid/slow elephants.

Me likey. First Jag &/or hybrid I would actually buy. Too bad it will probably be beyond my means for a long time even if they actually do decide to put it into production... :(

@Odin: The VGA adapter is the only real additional cost for this purpose (unless you already have one). No one is going to buy an iPad and iPhone/iPod only to play this game. It's fun, though. You can't ascribe a cost of $700 to this if the only people doing it would already have the needed components. Otherwise,

@Crowbot: There heads meet at a 45 degree angle... somewhat beyond what a custom seat can make up for. Imagine sitting in the passenger seat of a car. Then imagine afixing your head to the driver's head. Now have the driver check their blind spot. Look backward to see behind them. It seems to me like they'd be

@joe05x: The dogs were probably promised 70 virgins and a bone.

@Crowbot: Based on their bodies' positioning, I can't see how they could physically drive a car without one or the other being forced to contort themselves in a very uncomfortable fashion.

@KamWrex: That literally made me lol.

@Kai Chen: hmmm... Doesn't describe my office. Partners have Android phones, the rest have a mix of either blackberries or Android phones. The only ones with the iPhones are the secretaries.

China's dictator is at #1, I can see the reasoning - he controls over a billion people. It's still sad though, considering the fact that #1 is an opponent of human rights... I'd like to believe that others have more global influence, perhaps Obama. I very much doubt that Europe or the US would listen to anything

@GoldVrod: Very little of the money actually goes to the artist anyway... Big shots like Metallica get a large lump, yeah, but smaller guys don't get much - a small % of the royalties. I don't download, but I also don't buy big labels' cds and crap. Support artists in the ways they actually make money - seeing them

@lauwersp: I don't read the Apple articles, except this one drew my attention since no multi-touch for Motorola = no future Android phones for me. Makes for a sad me. I even have my bookmarks set as gizmodo.com/exclude/apple. Sometimes I still run across apple articles like this though.
