Huh, I’m going to have to look up Kaufmann. I see he’s in the house. Not my district, so I haven’t had any contact with him so far. Going to have to look up how he’s voted on all this other garbage we’ve seen in the past month.

we can’t seem to find any rational republicans in iowa right now. i know because i’ve basically been calling all of them on a weekly basis. they don’t seem to want to take my calls anymore.

well, most of the time it’s only after the kids go to bed, or when i feel an anxiety attack coming on. i farm and work part time so i can be home a lot with my kids, one of whom is special needs. i’ve found ‘chilling’ is preferable to freaking out.

They must have been Africanized bees. They tend to be a bit more aggressive, as far as types go, but also when they swarm, they do it differently than other bees. European types will only generally swarm in halves, as in, half stay in hive and half leave. Whereas Africanized bees all take off in a giant swarm…

It may not be that they were specifically attracted to the long hair, but as a bee keeper, I’ve noticed that when my husband has his hair long and a beard, and he gets in a swarm, they sting him worse because they get stuck in all the hair. I keep my hair short and am naturally sans beard, so it’s a non-issue.
