Half of New York City spends a week every summer in Vermont, and the other half heads up there to ski in the winter; I have trouble believing it’s one of the least visited states when North Dakota is still in the Union.

My thought exactly. I would bet fewer people are planning vacations to Kansas than Yellowstone.

All of these seem like just small population states, as opposed to states especially off the beaten path of tourists. You’re not gonna feel like you’re on the road less traveled at Yellowstone or Glacier during the summer.

I’ve always thought those disclaimers were a CYA move by gyms so they don’t get sued if you drop dead during Zumba, rather than an actual medical recommendation.

Another way to look at the question is this: What is the likelihood that a “pre-exercise” health exam by a provider (doctor, nurse, PA, whatever) who doesn’t know you and your history already, will uncover a medical condition that will put you at increased risk over not exercising. IMO, for someone without any

So let me get this straight: I’m supposed to spend the 20 minutes it takes to preheat an oven to 350 and then make toast in it, instead of just having a toaster do the same job in 3 minutes, with almost no effort, and likely a small fraction of the fossil fuel energy consumption?

CounterPoint: Failing to vote, or voting GOP will make things 100x worse. Blaming “Dems” as if they are a monolithic group where all should be punished for the stupidity of 1 or 2 (Manchin, Simema) seems short-sighted and childish.

I guess I don’t understand how they can act in the current environment without a supermajority. Doesn’t the right just filibuster?

If you think Democrats have a super majority I've got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell ya. This defeatist ass nonsense sure is exhausting.

Most of those women have aged out of the demographic that uses dating apps. Also, there is a certain type of “Me? Oh no, I’m not political!” person who tends to vote Republican, but isn’t registered nor explicitly identifies that way (IRL, let alone on a dating app).

Cars are generally very bad investments. Very few cars appreciate in value. Rare exceptions include vintage Ferraris, rare Supercars like the McLaren F1, Limited run, matching numbers classic American Muscle cars, and 7 year-old Honda Fits.

Kind of left out the key part of this sentence:

The thing about “eating until you aren’t hungry anymore” is that it changes based on how much you are used to eating, or at least it does for me. I made some lifestyle changes at the end of summer in order to get my health in order. The biggest component were changes to both the content and quantity of my diet. I did

Not a big fan of Taylor Swift or the Gorillaz & I don’t really care about this beef in general, but I do enjoy when people way out of left field chime in with support.

Feel free to drop the silly “gold digger” accusation. Regardless of what anyone thinks of her Kim certainly never needed Kanye for either money or fame.

I bet gold is not what Kim is digging through Pete’s pants for.

I bet Pete’s a breath of fresh (or marijuana filled) air after being married to Kanye.  LOL

friends who are vegetarian for ethical reasons are fine with eating meatless products cooked on/in the same surface as meat.

Sure there are a few hyper-vigilant vegans, but there is a huge number of people who would like a plant-based alternative but are okay with the fact that it may have been cooked in the same oil or on the same surface as meat.

I agree with this entirely. I know a ton of people these days, myself included, who follow a “flexitarian” diet, where the goal is to reduce meat consumption, not eliminate it entirely. I’ve been having fun trying different brands of plant-based nuggets, and if I lived near a KFC I’d be excited to try these.
