It’s hard for me to see the appeal in a competitive game, but maybe it’s somewhat similar to the weird joy in modding all the challenge out of skyrim by turning your character into Goku and spawning a bunch of dragons to mindlessly slaughter? There’s something appealing about being overpowered to the point of

Yeah I definitely enjoy Kirby, it wouldn't get my number 2 spot but it's up there.

Do you think that not replaying retro games influences your opinion on Kirby?

Yeah that kind of skill is something you'd charge a lot for. A lot of art seems like it makes a ridiculous profit margin and then you realize they had to practice for two decades to get to that point.

Rereading my own comment it came off as more skeptical than I meant it to. I think there are in fact people who could do something like that for $260, though I doubt they would resell it for around that price.

If you actually have the skill to do that for $260 overhead you should definitley make a business of it.

Bloody Barron is around where it seems to click for most people. That's right around where you get over the early game level hump, and it's actually a bit challenging to not be overpowered by the endgame. If it's feeling like health is too scarce, get the upgrade that makes food last 20 minutes, I think it's called

Oh how I envy you. That first hour of “this is kinda hard, what’s all the fuss about?”. The second hour of “this is alright I guess”. The third to hundredth hour where you tie your hair into a half pony tail and witcher the fuck out of everything.

Finishing up blood and wine and starting up my annual GTA v summer playthrough

Gmail will remind you of you put “attached” in an email with no attachment, eliminating a common excuse of my students.

It happens to my students a suspicious amount.

yeah and changing the rules to avoid a valid harassment complaint is the epitome of professionalism amirite?

Sort of like George Lucas.

It’s an amazing game for sure. I chose a lot of platformers largely because that’s the only genre id say I’m actually better than average at. But yeah that or Mario maker are forever games, which is quite rare in the genre. I’ll always replay world a few times every year though. First game I ever beat.

Wait does Magic the Gathering Online count? If so I'd probably cut all stars and deal with Mario maker recreations.

I’d mostly play it safe and bring games I know I’d want to replay a lot, as I’ve been replaying them for years, but there are a few exceptions. Here’s my tentative list:

Getting my doom on, been playing a lot of hitman (spent hours putting together a contract only to realize there’s no way for me to share it. :( Splodey the clown needs exposure), and probably gonna keep stardew valleying if I can fix my keyboard.

Yo I literally finished this shows first season a half hour ago, it was super dope.

My thing on Photoshop is that it's a skill in and of itself, so I'm cool with it in cosplay. That said, a lot of good cosplay is spoiled by bad photoshop work.

Yeah as far as real people go I get why they avoided it. At the same time Surgeon simulator got away clean.
