Yeah it’s not like a fighting game that has no combos or health bars and sells itself on having characters from completely different canons beat the shit out of each other could ever be a successful franchise. That kind of nerd service never succeeds.

Yeah, but if, like me, you are into franchises that regularly release broken versions of the game on disc, then updating before you play is often a necessity (looking at you AC). I feel like the preloading updates thing wouldn’t be used by every last person and wouldn’t be a cureall, but it would be super appreciated…

I kind of feel like cartridges could make a comeback, but not as a way of storing software, instead giving consoles some hardware options. Like lets say I have a console that could handle 4k graphics but no 4k tv. It would be better to have a cartridge system for the graphics so I could choose to buy a 1080p graphics…

Yeah I'm hoping that's just what you do for your starter but the original trailer suggested this sort of system. I'm sad.

I’m more worried about the apparent lack of battling to catch a pokemon. I want pokemon go to have classic pokemon mechanics alongside the whole gps location thing, which doesn’t seem like a massive amount to ask for.

Hm....does anyone know what the advantages of this would be over lumberyard? I'm designing a little pet project and I was thinking of using lumberyard, but I might consider using this engine.

As long as it’s not explicitly sexist, I’m cool with a fan-servicey game being fan-servicey. I just don’t need it shoved down my throat in every fucking game and it becomes sexist when it’s so out of context that the devs come across as “you only get a female character if she’s sexualized”, nor do I think a company…

One of the many reasons I’m glad I didn’t buy a wiiu for this game (I was very very close to doing so). For now I’ll be playing it at my homies house and waiting for the kinks to be worked out on the seemingly inevitable Mario Maker 2 for the NX.

I was really sick when this came and my parents got me it because I was stuck in bed. This made it a transition from sick to “sick”.

Just main them—a lot of fighting games I'll play I can only use one character cause I like to main the weird or difficult ones. The learning curve will be a tad steeper though.

I see. That’s actually a really cool bit of lore. Kind of makes me wish I had used potions more often. So yeah that would have to be replaced by a completely different mechanic for a Ciri centered game to happen.

That's a nifty idea. I'd say they should make a playable version but I still haven't finished my goku punches his way through Kanto fire red mod so i can't throw stones.
