Netflix car shows have been such a disappointment. Every show is about 70 to 80 percent backstory reality TV bullshit like they’re trying to convince my wife to watch the show.

They’re talking the hundreds of thousands of people employed by Amazon working in dismal conditions for a company that overwhelms small communities and shuts down small businesses

This has been my experience with tech like radar cruise and lane keep assist. I don’t trust any of it enough to let my guard down, and now I have to pay extra attention to how the systems are working. They’re great for a momentary break to wiggle your toes and shake out your shoulders, but I’m more relaxed just doing

I feel you have personally attacked me be introducing me to this show that I will now watch every horrifying minute of because what the fucking fuck?!

So basically every comparison made in the article is completely irrelevant? if a ram TRX gets 12 MPG on the EPA combined I’d hate to see what it gets on the USPS cycle.

The financial advantage of small diesels in the US has gone to hell because of the Nox problem - between EGR cooler failures, plugged particulate traps and SCR issues, the maintenance costs are insane, completely negating the fuel savings. It’s an issue for the big guys too, but over-the-road trucks generally drive

Not defending the choice of these turds in any way but consider that these trucks are basically doing stop and go every 60-80 ft in an urban neighborhood and I can completely understand how the mileage is going to be complete crap. I expect that if you did this drive cycle in a Honda Fit you would get crap mileage as

a clone of the mustang from the thomas crown affair.

I mean, its a safari mustang...  thought we liked safari-everything around here...

We don’t want to rent a car in order to take longer trips. We bought an Escape PHEV for my wife and that will run in EV mode for 99% of her mileage, but when we want to drive up to northern Michigan it will make the trip and get great gas mileage. For now I have an RS, but I will probably get a base model Lightning

Ken, We’d love to see a piece on the StepWGN, or any other cars you can get your hands on. I think your writing and photography is excellent, and reminds us that there’s good autos and good scenery outside of the US, even if it might be an everyday sort of car. Of course, it makes us long for the forbidden fruit, but

Now, it’s also worth noting that you can find plenty of videos of FSD driving in what appears to be a very competent manner, with few or no disengagements, and I’m happy to link to a couple of those, if you’d like to see that.”

Bonus: double the fuel...FOR FREE!

1. Yes, I want a StepWGN review. I want to be sad.

But we aren’t talking about BLM, we are talking about these fools now. Why must deflection always take place. The looting was not ok then but that was then, now we are talking now.

Allowed to remain is the important part you included in that quote and then actively ignored it in order to make your own point.

This story broke due to the efforts of AL dot com reporter John Archibald. He not only dove deep into this piece, but has done outstanding follow-up reporting. Maybe link to his original work instead of the aggregated piece in The Guardian?

I hope it’s not.

I hope it’s tweets.

52 million what, exactly?

This seems like a much better candidate for rescue and rehabilitation than one of Tracy's fifteen Cherokee-oxide hybrids. For one, it's small and doesn't leave fluids/particles of itself wherever it goes...
