Thank you! I have been beating this same drum for 10 years in the face of all the dumb “C4C ruined the used car market” posts, both here and years ago when I commented on Autoblog.

Pulling 700,000 cars off the market had zero impact whatsoever???
Winter is coming? Hell, here in Atlanta we only dropped out of the 90s 1.5 weeks ago.
I’m pretty sure I only made 2 comments on this entire article. I hadn’t driven a Wrangler since my honeymoon 15 years ago, so I didn’t have any idea what a modern Jeep felt like and thought I’d share.
I recently had a Gladiator for a rental car (base trim) and thought the height was very reasonable. Modern full-size trucks have gotten absurdly tall, with many coming from the factory with the bedsides up to my shoulders. But the bed height of the Gladiator was low enough that I could easily access the bed over the…
Recently I was surprised to find that I was given a Gladiator for a rental car. I only had it 2 days, but nothing about it felt cheap or insubstantial. It was quicker than I expected, drove solidly and seemed quite useful. There are packaging quirks since it is indeed Jeep based an the doors and roof can be taken off,…
Bay Area where I spend an hour to go 8 miles every morning.
It does, and I do tend to use it from time to time but it would cost me close to $150 a week if it was a daily thing.
It was a typical November day in NYC. There was very minimal snow predicted in the late afternoon. However, by 2 pm, snow was already falling, heavily. By 3 pm, visibility dropped to less than a quarter-mile. The city (or any municipality in the tri-state area) wasn’t ready. No salt had been placed on any roads. No…
I always try that trick. Pretty much never works for me. I’ve given up on caring anymore. I’ll just say “sorry, I’m terrible at names...”
Quite surprising the tow rating is that low over here! Wouldn’t want to cannibalize C/SUV/Truck sales in the US... I have no problem using the Euro ratings given appropriate hardware - I just also go by Euro towing speed limits too. No reason to be in a hurry while towing.
Shield agents were driving Acuras in the very first credits scene that hinted at Shield. I think it was teasing the upcoming 1st Thor movie, I seem to remember a bunch of Acuras sitting around a crater or something in the desert.
The Titan has never sold in numbers comparable to the the Big 3, but they were much more successful when the previous generation was fresh. The current generation is the ugliest full-size truck on the market. Nissan needs to fire their design team.
The doom and gloom in 1st gear ignores the fact that last September was the 4th best September ever. Sure this month looks bad if you only look at the percent change, but the SAAR is still over 17 million. Sky is not exactly falling.
Not sure what your beef specifically with Delta is, but while your Forbes link gives a specific example of schedule padding by Delta, all of the major airlines have done that in the last several years.
It is because the FBI/CIA/whatever institutions don’t give him the answers that he expects because he believes all the conspiracy theories floating around the right wing. So when he asks the agencies to investigate whatever nonsense is on his mind, and they come back with a report of reality that doesn’t match what…
The canoe looks cool on the roof, but as I have found hauling my kayaks on the roof of my Expedition, it sucks getting them up/down from that height by yourself. They aren’t terribly heavy, but it is ungainly trying to maneuver them way over your head.
Catch the coolant in a clean jug and then pour it back in after you are done.
Agreed. Coolant is one thing I don’t care to do myself because it is such a pain in the ass to dispose of afterward. Oils are easy to recycle, but coolant isn’t.
They didn’t build the 1996 Sema concept Trex, they built the 2001 acid green Trex
