As I mentioned in my previous post, I am putting away my collection of Corvettes to make room for a new group to display. Since I have 6 C5's, I think it would be a good idea to pare down the collection a bit, and so decided to take some photos of this model before putting it up for sale.
Decided to switch out my 1/18 cars currently on display, so I am putting away the Corvettes. Snapped some pictures of this one before putting it away, as I think I will try and sell it. I have six C5 Vettes, which is just too many (coupe, convertible, targa, hardtop, Z06, and C5R).
So, I’ve had my Amazon Combi for several months now, but I have only managed to accomplish a few minor tasks. The rear door locks and handles were really stiff so I pulled off the rear door cards and cleaned and lubricated everything inside the doors. Previously, everything was difficult to actuate, and now…
I was at Kroger yesterday wuth the family, and decided to peruse the Hot Wheels bin. Tons and tons of variety, but this was the only 180SX. As the long-time owner of an S13 240SX (I’ve owned mine for 21 years now), I was long overdue picking up this diecast. Decided to snap a few pics.
Last night I bought a 1967 Volvo 122S (Amazon) station wagon. It’s a wagon, and manual, though neither brown nor diesel. It has more rust than I would like, but I guess I will have plenty to do. Mechanically it isn’t bad, though there are a few things to take care of. It’s the oldest car I’ve ever owned by 22 years,…
So, here’s the followup to the teaser I posted earlier. I have a few closer shots to show a little more detail on the additional cars I put out. No time for a CdM yet, but it is what it is.
I put out some more models the other night. I will go into more detail later when I have more time. All pre-1950 stuff.
I decided that I was overdue in putting out some new models on display, so I put away the other models I had out and brought out a new selection of models. Today’s theme is America’s Sports Car, the Corvette.
Saw this ad on the sidebar while reading NPOCP, and made me wonder if they were referencing Idiocracy....and if they were doing it intentionally?
new place to display some diecast
After almost two decades of competing at Le Mans without an overall victory, Porsche finally found ultimate success with the 917. Development started in 1968, introducing Porsche's first flat-12 engine that came in 4.5, 4.9 and 5.0l versions with power ratings ranging from 500 to 630hp. Early 917s proved difficult…
Browsing eBay this weekend, I found a 1:18 AutoArt Ford Cortina Mk1 Rally model for a good price and bought it. Hope it is as good as the pictures. (stock image below)
So, here goes my first review on LaLD.
Now that I have authorship here, I thought I would post a couple of quick pictures of my 1/18 collection. I didn't get home last night until quite late, so I didn't have time to do anything in depth.
I passed this car on the road the other day. I was able to snap a quick picture (mostly because I could do it without taking my eyes off the road), but I didn't have any time to read any badges. I can't figure out what it is. I am guessing Japanese or European, because it is noticeably smaller than American cars of…
