All they have to do is choose to sell the cars they still make for Europe...in the US...should they ever need them.

So, this car is cool and I appreciate what it’s doing so right, but I will confess that I am rather apathetic about its existence. Will this car have any impact on what most of us are able to buy? No? Next!

That depends on if you push yourself or not, and people who push themselves will push regardless of whether there is an electric motor in there and the only end result is that they go faster and farther for the calories burned.
They are called recumbent bicycles, and they come in many flavors with and without external fairings. They also come in trikes. It would not be hard to add a motor and batteries to the entire assembly.
Because then they’d sell increasingly fewer manual ones and, with the car now more accessible, pudgy milquetoasts will become the core clientele and the car will cease to exist.
All this coming from a die-hard, life-long manual owner.
I don’t dismiss what it can do, only my ownership of one. I like my cars to be the complete package inside and out, ergo why it is so hard for me to find new cars I actually like.

I want a manual car, but nobody is making manual cars I want. I don’t want a hatchback. I don’t want a WRX. I don’t want an American pony car. I want something bigger than a two-seat pocket rocket. I would prefer AWD or RWD.
