It’s not “The sport’s absurd martial value system” that keeps coaches from quitting, it’s the nature of their contracts.  I guarantee you that half the coaches in the NFL would quit if they could keep getting their salaries (like if they were fired).

I find it interesting that as women are being increasingly encouraged to go into college and professional sports, the men are increasingly saying that sports basically broke them. Maybe we should be encouraging fewer men and women to go into sports?
