The Fantasticks is another one; the first act is so easy to turn into a happy self-contained musical that school productions often skip the entire second act (and therefore the morals/themes/point of the show).
This episode really struck home for me. I don't get a lot of soapy influenced romance in my normal TV watching schedule, so I'm completely down with Eli chasing a love interest through the streets. Melts my cold jaded glacier of a heart.
