I've read conflicting things about the shedding, although after all the Shiba encounters in my life, I'm starting to think the person who said her Shiba(s) didn't shed was lying.

It was originally slated as unpaid; it took a little bit of negotiating to make it from unpaid to a small sum of money. But again, the original question is, do co-op programs not exist? I wouldn't have been able to negotiate if not for my previous in-school experience.
There was actually a great documentary (?) that interviewed retired body builders, many of which (men and women) talked about the reason they started doing it in the first place was because of body dysmorphia.
