Good piece. The points you’ve laid out here are good...I’m unfortunately woefully optimistic about the impact an organization like the NFL could have.

I will say, though, that even as a lifelong Packers fan, if a player was convicted or accused of doing the same things Hardy, Peterson, Rice, Roethlisberger, et al, were

WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE OH MY GOD I CAN’T.

Re “vamp.”

Heh. Heh.

I’ll show myself out.

They won’t, though. They seem to have a policy of victim-blaming & promoting rape as a general behavior: http://deadspin.com/5897809/this-i…

Where is the papacy on that one, anyway?

...you don’t really come here often, do you?

“but if merging with someone is about really sharing resources”

not for nothin, but i’m not sure it has to be about that when it comes to finances. i know plenty of married couples that do really well with separate bank accounts, paying off their individual debt. not sure how i would do it, as the boyfriend has

Re: putting a career on pause for the family:

Wait...Mick Jagger raped Mackenzie Phillips? I knew about her father, but nothing I just looked up says anything about rape. I even looked into the underage thing, but all I could find was that she was 18, and that she even says that she went to bed with him, but I couldn’t find any rape allegations...

That’s really sad to hear, because this is my state as well...and I guess I haven’t seen it so pervasively here. I don’t doubt your experience at all...it just makes me really fucking sad that it’s the case.

if i rolled my eyes any harder, i’m afraid they might get stuck in the back of my head.

man. i just got told. i feel the sting.

thanks for showing me the error of my ways. i don’t know how long i would have gone on in my awful, dumb ways had i not encountered you to correct my path. i’m indebted.

The fact that you decided to go through grey comments on an article from 5 months ago notwithstanding, yes. i still love her now. and no, i don’t look dumb. i mean, no dumber than someone who went through grey comments and responded to one on an article from 5 months ago just to show how badass of an MRA they are.

They obviously haven't heard of Pinche Tacos in Denver. We also have a Los Chingones...although I'm not sure about that direct translation.

Agreed completely. I don't know how many times I have to point this out on a regular basis. How are we adults and don't know the difference between an adjective and a noun?

Honestly, awfulness aside...

I know it's not news to most people here, but supporting causes that promote people living, i.e., being a decent human being, is nothing to be ashamed of. In fact, not being a decent human being *is* something to be ashamed of.

I said essentially the same thing on his piece. He speaks exactly like someone who will never have to worry about sacrificing a personal brand to fight gender bias in his industry.

Way better suggestion than boycotting.

WE ARE COMING FOR YOUR PRESIDENCY AND YOUR URINALS. GET THE FUCK READY.

Collier, I hate that this happened to you. Thank you for sharing, though—it's these types of experiences that help people realize this isn't just some outlying story by a mysteriously unique jackass, but that this is some everyday shit. Also, FUCK girl...your writing is goddamn beautiful.
