I found Jojo Rabbit to be a great example where he allowed the movie to be fun and silly, but also let the dramatic, heavy moments have the weight and meaning they deserve.

While I hope the only thing in Trump’s future is a prison cell, felons being able to run for office isn’t a bad thing in a free society. Look at Russia, which bans felons from running, and how many of Putin’s political adversaries that suddenly develop criminal charges.

Funny you should say that.  If you go into Disney+, and then the Star Wars section, scroll way down, you’ll find a curated list of important Ahsoka episodes leading from her creation, up to the new series.  I happened across this when I decided to watch Rebels for the first time since so many of the characters show up

I’ve actually read all the way up through Tiamat’s Wrath.  Leviathan Falls hadn’t dropped yet when I finished.  I’ve picked it up since, but I want to read the previous two again to catch up on all the time jump stuff.

One of my favorite lesser known roles.

I will die defending the 2007 CGI one.  Yeah, the plot lost the thread with all the ancient demons or whatever the were on the loose.  But the performances were top notch, the animation was excellent, and the fight in the rain between Raph and Leo elevates the entire rest of the movie.

Considering how awful The Boys comic is, and how much better the show is, I’m not worried about them taking liberties to tell their own stories.

Given everyone removing shows for tax breaks, I decided I wanted a physical copy of The Expanse. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that the SciFi seasons 1-3 are the only ones to get a physical release.

I tried a backbone, and the streaming was absolutely terrible.  Utterly useless for 1st person games.  I don’t expect this to be any better.

I think The Flash movie taught us that Batman should always be on screen, and when he’s not, everybody should be wondering where Batman is.

I’m utterly shocked that an executive with zero experience editing movies didn’t make a good movie.

So... the harvest is a collection of presumably dozens of different heroes’ DNA.  And it’s just all mixed together in a single vial???

If people are so fed up with your business that they’re actively sabotaging it, maybe calling them criminals and threatening to sic the police on them isn’t the best PR approach.

That’s where I’m at.  I know he’s still in this season, but I just don’t feel an urgency to watch it, knowing everything that’s happened.

I read somewhere a few weeks ago that Disney is planning on folding Hulu and D+ together.

I was legit crestfallen when I saw they closed a couple weeks back.  It was such a no-bullshit site.  It’s been a hassle finding a new source with the same quality library that isn’t loaded down with popups or terrible, confusing design.

I actually bought a couple BDs this weekend explicitly because of this. Alita and Annihilation. They were cheap, and I don’t trust the streaming services to keep shit available anymore.

I know companies are loathe to give up ownership, even when they’re going to do literally nothing with a property.  Not that I have literally ANY stake in the writer’s strike, but a good angle for creator ownership could be that it reverts to the creators if the property isn’t available to access for X amount of

It would probably help if streaming services didn’t just put stuff up with absolutely zero fanfare or promotion. I’m on D+ a decent bit because I have a 5yo, and I’ve literally never even heard of this movie before. It looks really fun, and like something he would have enjoyed!
