What do you mean? How could they possibly make an MCU movie without placing the entire Earth in jeopardy? Who would possibly want to see a medium stakes film like Homecoming? Or the first Iron Man? Or Black Panther?

They did the impossible, and actually made Cyclops and his power look cool.  Made it very clear that they’re not laser beams, they’re concussive blasts.  That first fight where he was using the blasts to dodge FOH, and immediately move himself into a new position in the room was inspired.

I call those interesting failures.  The first example that comes to mind is Last Night in Soho.  It’s trying something new, and interesting, even if it doesn’t really stick the landing.  I’d rather have an interesting failure, over a mediocre success.

If Phase II had a “lengthy and glorious” run, it certainly seems plausible that TNG would have happened later than ‘87.

Why the hell would it cost you $30 in labor to make one dish?  Are you making and serving 1 dish per hour?  Or are you just lying to justify charging as much as possible, and paying your staff as little as possible?

I want them to go balls-out with the “weird” X-men.  Don’t show me mutant cures or Magneto out for revenge, yet again.  Give me a Mojoverse movie, and a Brood movie.  If we have to stay on earth, I want to see them escaping Arcade and Murderworld!

I’m really glad I went and watched Rebels before starting this. It’s clearly much a much richer and fulfilling experience, when I already know Hera, Chop, Sabine, and Ezra. I’m curious how the story hit for people that haven’t watched Rebels.
