For those in the know, how does it being decentralized differentiate it from Twitter, in practical terms?  They’re still running running servers, which were hammered.  These still have to be paid for, obviously.  And presumably the people paying are the ones in charge of Blue Sky.  From the outside, it doesn’t sound

So... what’s keeping kids from scanning their parent’s ID, and sending that in?  Unless the sites are keeping track of users, and will flag doubles, this seems like an absurdly easy work around for a horny 17yo.

People keep saying this, except for the tons of games that explicitly call out previous games in the series. OoT is the sealing war referenced in the prologue of LttP (which is directly followed up by LA). OoT is also directly followed up by MM, and then the Hero of Time is called out specifically in both WW and TP.

To be fair, I don’t think ANYBODY in the film gave a crap when she died, so technically not a fridging.  Just a very tonally weird choice for a 2023 movie.

At this point, I’m just treating BotW & TotK as a soft reboot. I know they’ve said it takes place long past the end of any other game.  But the details they’ve provided, especially regarding the rise of Ganondorf and the Demon King, just straight up contradict previously shown lore.

You uh, haven’t seen any of Villeneuve’s other movies, have you?  His pacing is a deliberate choice that he employs in every one of his movies.  I won’t fault a person for not enjoying his slower, more deliberate style.  But he and Alex Garland are two of the absolute best sci-fi filmmakers we have right now.

I gotta be honest... it’s been cancelled and renewed so many times now, I’ve lost track.  I’m pretty sure I completely missed the last renewal.

Prime’s library of content is even more anemic than Netflix.  If it weren’t for the free delivery, I wouldn’t bother with it at all.

I’ve had that for literal years now. I actually built a computer that’s the size of a VCR, so it can fit in my entertainment center.

I feel like all the public speeches where he brags about going after Disney solves that pesky “standing” issue.

I’m not so sure the blame can be placed so squarely on Miller.  They’re known in genre circles, but I don’t think they’ve really reached the point of being a household name.

I went and saw it Saturday when it was already a flop.  The Flash is my favorite superhero, and I was grinning like an idiot those first few minutes of the film.  My boy finally gets the big screen treatment he deserves, and it’s an utter failure with audiences.

It really is bizarre.  Even a year delay would make more sense than what they’re doing right now.  But nope, P+ or nothing if you want to see these shows.

Let’s not ignore the fact that A LOT of theaters have closed, post pandemic also. I have a single screen theater up the road from me that mainly shows family friendly flicks. But if I want to see something they’re not showing, I used to have a Regal 15 minutes up the road. That’s no longer there. Now, if I want to go

No Bomb Rush Cyberfunk?  It’s coming out in two months!  Give that game some love!

If they somehow pull this off, and rescue the crew, that CEO is going to be facing some serious consequences.

Hmm... this seems like a great opportunity for California to create a public insurance option at cost.

I follow a number of news websites, specifically so I might catch a headline in between my morning news updates.

Sounds like Mark is just begging for an antitrust lawsuit at this point.

I can’t help but wonder who they expected the audience to be for these two.  Rightly or wrongly, they’re pretty despised in the UK.  In the US, the absolute best I can imagine hoping for is total apathy.
