Drivers DO see pedestrians the vast majority of the time (let’s say 99% of the time)

It’s kind of the same phenomenon that causes people to be real assholes to each other over the internet; they feel safe and isolated and so they can be a bigger jerk than normal. Inside my bigass BMW nothing bad can happen to me, so I can rage at everyone else without consequence.

Love that the CRV comes to a full stop then Punts the guy anyway for walking in the traffic lane. Good on you Honda.

I already have no qualms about cutting off teslas in traffic because I know they will stop for me and not hit me.

How long until we just walk in front of cars because we know they will stop?

This is a good take because drivers are never distracted and couldn’t possibly hit a pedestrian paying attention and legally crossing the road.

I agree, but the mitigating factor here is that she stole public funds, made worse by the fact that those funds were intended to help those who had suffered a devastating event.

I dunno, stealing money from the hands of people who literally have nothing due to natural disasters is pretty fucked up.
