My take on the final scene is that the timelines/realities/whatever finally converged; if not in a literal, in-universe sense then certainly from our perspective as the audience. The Nadia that went through the loop helped the Alan that didn’t, and the Alan that went through the loop helped the Nadia that didn’t.
