I really think that Beth’s fault in this is very minimal. Enough to ignore, in fact. Randall should never have kept running, and in this episode, he should have told her that he was going to withdraw from the position to support his family. Instead, he makes a request of Beth that asks far more of her than she was

I was somehow expecting Randall’s big childcare speech to be leading up to a declaration that he was going to stay home full time. But nope, he continues to be the worst.

I think the show really made a misstep in having some of the characters live so far away from the others. If the family was split between, say, New

Just want to quickly say Thanks Kayla!! for another season of reviews. I appreciate that comment numbers (much like viewing figures) have fallen greatly since the show’s season 1 heyday. But thanks for sticking in there.

HTGAWM’s messiest season? Oh no. To me this has been the most consistent season of the show since it’s third one. For one, this season had a lot of great character moments. And, the episode where Annalise defended Nate Sr. is among the absolute best of this show. This season also single handedly made Nate Jr. into a

that whole damn season and we didn’t get Tegalise? for shame, HTGAWM, for shame.

My take on the final scene is that the timelines/realities/whatever finally converged; if not in a literal, in-universe sense then certainly from our perspective as the audience. The Nadia that went through the loop helped the Alan that didn’t, and the Alan that went through the loop helped the Nadia that didn’t.

I started to think this may all just be Eleanor’s Purgatory road to Redemption machine.

yea, it’s just more hell for our original four--that makes me suspicious that somehow we never got out of hell to begin with

Also, I too think the experiment is flawed but for a different reason. It’s not just that the sample number is low - in people (8 in total) and repeats (the new r are basically just second repeat). My bigger issue is that the conditions are not the same. And not just that there are no demons there this time. Or that

They’re not in the good place. They’re not in the bad place. They’re all in Purgatory. All of ‘em. The Soul Squad, Judge, Shawn, everybody. There’s a Higher Authority we have yet to meet that’s at work giving them all a second chance. Shawn is furthest away from redemption but they’re all there together ‘helping’

I think the tearing up of the couple carries more oomph this time because it’s the first time that only one of them is going into it blind. Both we and Eleanor know all that history, but it’s sure going to hurt a hell of a lot more when Chidi doesn’t.

Holy motherforking shirtballs, this show is amazing.

“I’m a legit snack!” Hadn’t heard that one before, but, yes Eleanor.

I love this show & sincerely think it is one of the most original and brilliant shows of all time.

This one was a B for me. The more this show repeats the Eternal Sunshine-esque Eleanor-and-Chidi-fall-in-love-then-lose-their-memories-then-find-their-way-back-to-each-other arc, the less emotionally invested I am. Bringing Simone back reminded me that I actually liked Chidi and Simone together a lot, and while I

Wait, hold on, I have to address this: I think that Lost managed to be intriguing well after the first season. It all fell apart, but if, say, all of the writers died and all of their notes were destroyed when they were struck by a meteor when they were all having dinner together at the end of the fourth season,

I think my favorite part was at the very beginning of the episode:

I want a supercut of every time WJH freaks out.  Time knife.  The dot.  Laying on the railroad tracks.  The Trolley Problem.  Get on this, The Good Place Extras.

Jason - “Yeah man, we’re refugees. What kind of messed up place would turn away refugees”

Sandra Oh undoubtedly played the best character in all of Shondaland. Cristina would’ve been a completely unlikeable character in any other actor’s hands. She is such a brilliant actress. I hope this show wins her those overdue Emmys.
