I'm unfamiliar with both of those, yikes. Thanks for the recommendation, Greene!
Dun dun DUN
I didn't jump. I took a step, and there conclusions were.
Buffy quotes aside (a show that dealt with both bullying and suicide with a deft hand, btw)…
I spoke based on the showrunners comments. I did so politely, based on roughly 13 years of my own experience. If my conclusions had been incorrect, the commenters here…

It sounds so damn cheesy but I don't know what else to say: I hope you get to a better place. I'll repost the numbers again, and if you ever need to talk, you'd be surprised how many people have just started talking on this here AVClub and gotten some pretty good responses.

Just reposted from Toaster downthread. Hope you don't need them, but I'm glad you have them.

The more I hear about this, the more I expect a few news stories about kids leaving behind tapes in the next 2-3 weeks.
And whoops, suicide epidemiology is mostly who kills themselves; suicide clusters is the google search you want if you want to be sad!
I'm glad you didn't.
And I responded to your use of Kurt Cobain's death, which I characterized as an outlier in many years of research. I then responded to the rest of your comment. You don't have to look at "every bit" of research, but you could google "suicide epidemiology."
It's not silly. What gets a person through is what gets a person through. Most people assume their family won't care much, but this guy held onto the idea that they would. Not silly at all.
My usual "thing" is that I think my dog would be sad.
Silicon Valley is a cluster spot to the point that epidemiologists are going there trying to figure out why (hello, recent immigrant parents + high pressure schools + the constant spectre of social media = death).
