My wife and I are always laughing about broccoli because 30 minutes after you cook it, it starts smelling like the bottom of a dumpster. Gobble it up quick.
I use variety. Every night I cook four or five different vegetables for dinner and a very small piece of meat. I know nothing, but try beets - those are yummy as hell.
My answer to this is gun owners have to pay additional taxes and fees to pay for our protection from their toys.
Great point. Through his inaction, he may inadvertently save the lives of many children from gun related accidents in schools.
But lets ask Ms. Simon the kindergarten teacher to do it. I never want to hear about good guys with guns again.
Exactly.
Thanks. :) I think all of those are true, yet the story is getting so much traction. Maybe its just the clicks and discussion driving all of this not the feasibility.
Good points, thanks for the response.
This is an old stat, but per the NYT, in 2006 when NYPD officers intentionally fired their gun, they had a hit rate of 28.3%. FROM ZERO TO 6 FEET it was only 43 FUCKING PERCENT. LESS THAN HALF!!!!!
All of those are the same things running through my head. I can’t believe this is a conversation happening outside of an Onion article.
Why isn’t this stat in the fucking article? Amazing find.
Stay away from those states. The only way you can be shot by a gun is to be near one. It is that simple. Bringing guns into any situation makes it unsafe regardless of any other context.
My kid’s teachers are sweet, loving, caring people who have dedicated their lives to children. I would not under any circumstances expect them to become soldiers. This idea is beyond dumb and unreasonable. People who think this is some sort of solution have either never met a teacher in their entire lives, or have…
Not just kill someone. It would likely be a child or close to it. Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold were 18. Adam Lanza was 20. Nikolas Cruz is 19. It could be former student of theirs they now have to kill. It’s just, quite simply, the worst possible solution to this.
A coworker of mine just brought up a great point. If teachers are armed, you are basically preparing them to shoot a child. 14, 16, 18 year old - whatever, that’s who teachers would be expected to gun down. It’s just beyond insane to me.
That is very lucky. In the 80's my parents taught college courses on the US military bases, so I went to pre-K, K, and 1st grade in Frankfurt, Munich, Nuremburg, and Vicenza Italy. It was an amazing experience that I still remember most of, so I think what you are planning is a great idea. Plus, just get the hell away…
Snooze.
You cared enough to post, so you are liar.
