We actually do need it. The US military is directly responsible for the safety and security of the world, and it’s oceans. We take on this job not for the benefit of the world itself, but because it allows trade to flourish bringing us all jobs.

A huge part of the problem has been continuing resolutions and sequestration a horrible starve the beast way of governing our country has aggravated or created most of those readiness gaps and stops long term upgrade funding.
