I'll give you what's redeeming about TASM2 and why it conveyed Spidey better than any other movie before it despite its many, many flaws:
I suppose it's not surprising that a site that continually wets its collective panties over movies about giant rubber monsters would be troubled by a superhero movie with a complex and unconventional story.
I've got no problems with studios going with the whole wheels-off-shit-show angle in doing comic book movies.
