Here in the U.S., I notice that people are increasingly defining themselves and their values by what they are against.

While you are right, the problem is this

This is happening to a rich, famous, successful woman. It has been happening to her for years and she is still fighting it in court.

And/or she told herself that. Which is exactly that which I would have done. Told myself that if I didn’t engage, his tiresome game would eventually lose steam; told myself that if I blocked him, he might escalate; told myself that this was his escape valve, and that to close it might lead to increasingly dangerous

When people tell you that the American people deserve a say in the next SCOTUS justice (by delaying until post-election). Tell them to read Federalist 78 (and the constitution) and ask them where it says the judiciary should be determined at the whim of the electorate.

Except they refuse to advise or consent thus leaving us with 8 justices for what could be well over a year with some very important cases coming up. The Senate not doing their job at all is not the same as the Senate valiantly keeping that crazy dictator Barrack Hussein Obama in check for us voters. We actually

Exactly! After twenty some years working in a male-dominated field I see this sort of thing happening all the time. The excuse is often “Well there aren’t as many qualified women applying” but that’s BS. They are passing up on women because they are judging them before they even have a chance to prove themselves

Honestly, I don’t think that they do..

“Because men and sometimes women will tell you “Women can’t program/politics/etc” so you have to basically shut them down by proving yourself ten times over and it DOES NOT END”

Except, if these women are so valued, why aren’t they in the top 10? Is it because 10 men are more important/valued by Sanders?

It’s almost like *gasp* she actually means the shit she says in regards to gender equality and wants to promote it.

Yeah—his staff was also 90 percent white until the media called him on it and he went on a hiring spree (compared to Clinton, who has had a staff that was in between 30-35 percent POC from the beginning).

EXACTLY!! And everyone is going to scream about his voting record, but like...voting correctly and actually taking an active role in these issues are 2 very different things.

Unbelievable how the Sanders crowd here can still find a way to attack Hillary for Bernie not having any women in top posts on his campaign. Oh she just has them for show. F off.

Significantly more women than men, which means that she’s likely weighting women over men for entry-level positions, while men are resting more in the middle as well as the 6-figure folks in her top 10. Her record isn’t perfect, like everything else, but the fact that Bernie has ZERO in his top 10? ...That’s really

Right? LOLOLOL And people keep telling me gender doesn’t matter. Go on Hillary you keep doing the do while everyone tries to say they’re feminists - you’re actually PAYING the women. Go on Hill!

Seriously, this is a great article.

The results for Bernie illustrates my problem with him. He talks a great game but he doesn’t exactly inspire by his actions. Focusing on economic issues while overlooking systemic discrimination and unconscious biases is going to result in white males benefiting the greatest. I’m not comfortable with taking a backseat

Looking forward to the attempts to mansplain away the numbers.

Near-parity between genders on campaign staff? Imagine that!
