@Spiegel, Barrel Roller: If it were, you wouldn't see the ad for the 2011 Subie until 2015
@dbx: And the engineers actually designed the thing with maintenance in mind. I love my 220D.
@Spiegel, Barrel Roller: If the E-type is any indication. No, no you are not.
@Alfisted: Fuel?
It's amazing how movies/TV shows change how you feel about things. I'm trying to be mad about his reaction, but all I can think is, "The guy in the S2000 must have deserved it."
Huh. Selling vodka in Russia. You'd think it'd have been just as effective and cheaper to go with the hand-drawn sign that says, "For Sale: Vodka."
@morejunk4me: The problems arise during critical communications, such as "Hold Short 23L" or "Go around, aircraft on runway."
@morejunk4me: Yes, I'm telling you that. I fly them, I've heard it.
@morejunk4me: Put your cell next to a speaker and have someone call it. You'll hear (but-dada-but-dada-buttttt).
@San Francisco Kid: Cell phones, especially GSM, will cause static on the coms. Furthermore, airlines are required to test each type of electronic device to ensure it doesn't cause interference except for in cruise. Your $120 fare to NYC doesn't give them the resources to do so.

@ScienceToYourFace: So you're fine with an X-Ray 2x a day?
Attention people who say, "It's just a wang, go ahead and go through it." Aside from the personal privacy issue, which is qualified in itself, would you want to get an X-ray twice a day for the next 30 years?
@Zack Danger: He would have had his crew ID and SIDA badge in sight. They asked for a drivers license; he wasn't driving.
@rotaryfreakjoe: Well, the plane was built around the 30s. Besides, for efficiency in low to medium altitudes, they do much better than jets.
@250GTO: It's trimmed correctly. Trim tab to the left moves the rudder to the right. With full (assuming) power on the operating engine you'd need a lot of right rudder to balance it out.
Engine's feathered. It was done on purpose. If they bring it out of feather, the relative airflow will spin the prop to assist in starting.
When my motorcycle hit 8008 miles, I started laughing so hard I had to pull over and take a picture.
