First of all everything about this from the character and world designs to the music screams hawaii secondly okinawa is a city not a region all other previous pokemon regions were based off of japanese regions of the same or very similair names so this is undoubtably hawaii

The name of the region is Alola and the japanese spot is about a japanese kid trying to fit in after moving overseas in what is, presumably, Hawaii.
Blaziken was the badass original, well i guess it was combusken but thats literally a chicken and egg thing. Then we got infernape and emboar right after. I think everyone is tired of that combination at this point after two pokemon that couldnt improve on the original.

Isn’t it intense? Like holy shit, I was expecting a Pokemon ad, not a mini-documentary on a boy moving to a new country and trying to fit in.
How is that racist? Having a tiki mask ghost type pokemon in no way infers that another race is superior to it, just by existing.
