This. This article is making stuff up.
That’s false. The NDA phased lasted for three weeks.
Or a laptop+HDMI cable, or an actual NES with a flashcart. There are so many cheaper, better and even more collectable alternatives to to Mini it being discontinued makes no difference for someone that actually plays the games.
If this is a exclusive Switch game then this actually is a system seller for me. I’m a fan of weird Japanese games.
I’d like a closed cockpit with covered tires. With the added safety of a closed cockpit now F1 could lax other regulations that severely slow the cars down, such as having exposed tires. Plus a closed cockpit with exposed tires would not be aesthetically pleasant.
Everyone has enough space to place a computer, a monitor, a tv screen and a couple of consoles. People already do that. The thing is that it simply is more fun to play multiplayer games with people rather than online, and since centers are nearby subway stations then it becomes a possibility.
That is already happening in Japan. On major arcade centers about one third of the cabinets feature online and local play, with microphones, for games that use peculiar controllers that aren’t available at home.
Of course it does, but not at every game. At 30 years of age when playing Quake I just don’t feel connected to the game anymore. I know that game is an extreme example, as we Quakers are picky to the extreme (5ms differences - less than one frame), but goes to show there is an effect.
This. VR devices need a system seller.
The biggest upset was that the HTC Vive ended up being so much better than the Oculus Rift.
Bernie never wanted to stop using the V10s. As people will soon realize, he wasn’t in charge of everything.
And BTW, no one that knows what he is talking about has said VR is going to be the next big thing. VR hasn’t even become a mainstream thing and probably never will, which is a requisite for it to become a fad. I’m just saying that VR will be supported for longer than motion controllers (six years), 3D TVs (three…
There’s a key difference. Motion-based controllers were associated with the Wii, and Nintendo has never, ever fully developed one of their accessories, to reach their full potential. They just present a new product using 10 year old technology, in order for the company to be completely sure it will work flawlessly and…
He makes F1 more fun to watch, that’s for sure.
It’s more like a Japanese slot machine. Pachinko machines are gambling machines; not videogames.
All those features were already available on public NES emulators, and more. The one in the NES Mini is not exceptional.
I know, but in a world where anyone can go to google.com and type super mario bros and be playing for free in less than five seconds, there’s no point in buying a separate device that does the exact same thing. The NES Mini is an emulator.
I don’t know of a single NES game that isn’t emulated flawlessly.
Or for $10 you could have every single game, with emulation and a HDMI cable. Or for $60 you could get a real NES (better than emulation) and a multicart with 150 unique games.
