I’ve tried the DK2, and it wasn’t as impressive as Disney rides from 10 years ago. Reason is the immersion is broken due to the lack of motion controllers and of most Oculus-exclusive demos and games not showing “yourself”in the game.

By the time all pre-orders are fulfilled the novelty of the device will have already worn off. Therefore there is a loss for the consumer.

The Oculus Rift 1.00 version still isn’t finished anyway. It will be once they release the controllers that go with it, and until then it’s not worth even considering.

Specific recommendation for first bike?

The core gameplay is not going to change in a couple of months (beta to 1.00). Bugs will be fixed, especially in the audio department, but 1.00 will play and feel the same as the beta.

Further, as far as I know in Id Software there isn’t a single person that worked in Doom 1. That says a lot.

Nintendo of Japan is a different company. The consoles and games are made in Japan, not by the company that terminated her.

As long as you can read well then this shouldn’t be an issue, as the screens are very close to your eyes. Glasses can fit inside the Oculus well too.

We’ll have to wait until April 5th to see which implementation is better.

I bought the basic version because I knew before hand that even with the 32 GB version external storage was going to be a must, Plus, at one point the basic was massively discounted.
