If a company ever stops selling something, the rights should revert or go public.

There should be some law where rights to artistic works revert to the creator after 5-10 years. Not right for labels to shelf and vault stuff permanently “we don’t want to use it, but we don't want you to use it either"
He looks like Jonah Hill playing Harvey Weinstein in a biopic.
Well, I suppose prepping his golden parachute is taking a bit longer than expected.
This stuff always starts at the top. He should have been removed as soon as this came out earlier this year.
I feel like it’s easy to guess it’s a licensing issue here.
The more you learn about the stock market, the more it’s clear that that shit is entirely fiction
I’ve had a couple moments over the last month or so where I’ve thought, “Wasn’t there a Diablo II remake recently? I only ever played the first one, but people really got deep into D2. Maybe I should check it out.”
I think both have had significant impact. Though I recently saw New World was down 600k players (almost 70%), so it has big flash in the pan energy, whereas I’ve heard nothing but praise of FFXIV from former WoW players.
I mean, it’s hard to see if they have the same spark when the most recent new game released by the studio was Overwatch - 5 1/2 years ago.
Hearthstone expansions, WoW expansions, D2 Remake.. they don’t let developers shine with new ideas.
Overwatch 2's new direction has been criticized (rightly or not), and now with…
There’s another aspect to the situation though where the old ‘spark’ and beloved games were built atop a pile of sexism and crunch conditions. (Also probably true across the industry.) Everyone gets excited when ex-Blizzard devs announce a new game studio, but I don’t just want them to go back to the ‘spark’ that made…
I think Blizzard has finally hit the same milestone that Bioware has: all of the original talent that made the studio great has long since left, and the current team just doesn’t have that same spark that made their earlier projects so incredible.
I don’t always agree with Kinja comments, but when I do, it’s because they acknowledge how Destiny 2 is an unworthy successor.
Overwatch 2, a game which appears to be Overwatch being sold to you again, which will apparently work with Overwatch 1 (wut), which is why Overwatch no longer gets new maps or heroes, is going to take... how long to make? Why are they doing this? This is more pointless than Destiny 2 and that was EXTREMELY pointless.
As someone who spends at least a little time each week playing video games and watching porn, it does my heart good to know that I’m a disappointment to Josh Hawley.
Did you seriously feel a need to write this article? Why? Whether a small development studio is all male or all female or what-have-you does not matter. Your statement of, “So, presumably, the founder had met at least a couple of women who were skilled enough to work at one of the highest-profile video game companies…
I just don’t get it.
Or to translate from corporate bullshit...
I envy your optimism.
This presumes Blizzard survives all this at all.
