Pop-unders, etc. are still the norm, unfortunately, as sites are getting smarter about bypassing adblock and other plugins. Uh… so I've been told.

Friends did that for several years, then they all submitted as Lead for the last few seasons (at least the ones who were nominated).
read the original, if you can get through it without vomit obscuring your computer screen
SADP is fantastic. The drunken Don and snarky Roger scenes were so ripe for Archer mashup. But I love Arrested Westeros too, I mean the uncle/father stuff and the cut-off hand, that's just amazing.
This site has been around since GOT Season 1.
Hey, y'know what's really useful and worthwhile? Complaining about politics on every thread in a pop culture website's comments section.
Yee-haw! My imaginary vote cancels out y'all's.
I'm just curious why Snoop is dressed like my grandma.
What about my friend Lili who lives in Japan?
This is insane… however, I'm all in favor of rich people forking over kingly sums to support the theatre world which is always struggling to stay afloat (despite the occasional huge hit show). Hamilton's music doesn't appeal to me, and there are a hundred shows I'd rather see, but it's the principle of the thing.
The drinking was obvious, of course — but the reason so many of those 1970s celebs wore tinted eyeglasses was all the weed, right?
You really nailed the typical misspelled meme.
Nothing wrong with them, except the show that surrounded them was, to me, becoming unappealing. BTVS feels almost like two different shows, S1-2-3 and S5-6-7, with a strange but sometimes awesome link in S4. Maybe that was inevitable as the characters grew up. I will maintain forever that despite what Whedon says,…
I disagree, largely because the characters I loved so much in the high-school years became far less enjoyable to the point of being dull, and I find the S5 consistency to be one of weak writing and unappealing personalities. To me, the lamest MOTW eps in S1-2-3 do not take away from the overall appeal of those years,…
Ugh, forget Alien 3. What a pointless mess. I think all the sequels after Aliens are awful and disgusting (in a bad way — obv. Alien and Aliens have disgusting scenes but essential to the story of very good films). Sometimes filmmakers don't know when to stop.
The debate over Buffy S6-7 will never reach any consensus… Fierce arguments continue on both sides about each. What has most surprised me for 15 years is how many fans rate S5 so highly, when I found its brilliant and powerful pieces (FFL, Body, Gift), great though they be, not nearly enough to counter the boredom…
Not only The Dinner Party, but also Fun Run, and The Deposition, and season five had The Surplus, and Golden Ticket… Anyway, it became very frustrating but still had some classic moments.
The original is the best-written, certainly. The sequels had an awful lot of lame jokes and bad pacing, but the first Vacation holds up really well. And for all the flak Chevy Chase has gotten over his career (mostly deserved), he was perfect for Clark Griswold.
You say jif, I say ghif…
You say vajina, I say vaghina
I realized what the eerie piano music reminded me of, somewhat… As a huge Buffy fan, I should have known: Christophe Beck's score at the beginning of Willow's dream in Restless. Soft, slow and clear, the calm before the very unusual storm. That score opened with chiming clusters, a bit off-kilter, and Djawadi's…
