OK, forget "rank" — I shouldn't have said that. My point is, Ilana Glazer could be cast as Bride of Borat.

The Mean Girls in their Halloween costumes? Yes, please.

Let's hear it for the old man, by the way — he was AWESOME. Y'know, a hot little number like Angela Lansbury would just lie there… but someone like Amy would work for it.

Yeah, no kidding. "Hottest"??? Hundreds of women would rank higher.

It's possible that in the Star Trek universe, they had technology slightly more advanced than the automatic doors at Wal-Mart.

Your whole comment is spot-on. I really wanted to like this show, and I tried, but after a couple episodes (and then part of a third, later on, when I came back to see if it had gotten better) I just had to stop. Levy and O'Hara deserve better than this. Why was everybody in those motel rooms for so much time,

Norm and Garry Shandling have the same beauty regimen.

Well, we don't know that…

Nobody talks about Sorvino anymore, or Dzundza, in their short runs on L&O, because they were succeeded by Orbach who was beloved, and excellent. But those two guys were both actually really good on the show, it's just that Orbach was a better fit (onscreen and certainly offscreen). And I thought Chris Noth matched

Indeed the final three seasons (Sisto, Anderson, Roache, & Waterston as DA) were a big improvement, bringing the show back into better form after 6-7 weak years. But I just watched some of them, and honestly the writing doesn't seem to be nearly as strong as in the best seasons. I enjoy those guys, especially

And the first episode to face the issue head-on, after the death penalty is reinstated in NY, is the excellent Savages (season 6) with Victor Garber. McCoy and Kincaid don't share the same position on it, but the crux of the matter is that the crime fits the most severe penalty available, which is now execution;

Watching on WeTV is possible, if you can stand the hideous commercials for that network's godawful shows (about as far in tone from early L&O as you can get).

Pete does not need alcohol to be a menace behind the wheel. Fortunately he doesn't drive much.

I enjoyed it.

If I were a director I'd be itching to work with Kartheiser. I mean, Jiminy Christmas, he's done great work in this role.

Jay R. Ferguson. He's been really great on the show, right through the transition from clean-shaven tight-polo-shirt guy to Mountain Man.

Lots of us stay up really late for these recaps, huh? (Not too late for some time zones, I realize.)

Jared Harris's Lane Pryce was of course a partner, back when Pete first got that office with the post smack in the middle.
