I highly recommend the Count Basie album "Basie Meets Bond."  He does some awesome killer versions of the Dr No tracks like "Mango Tree," namely "Dr. No's Fantasy" which would be on a shortlist for kick ass instrumentals of the 1960s.

The Lange song is incredible, and while I can't remember a single bar of the Crow one, I can remember Lang's note-for-note.

Octopussy isn't "terrible" per se, just really really boring.  It did everything a bond film basically needed to do, but was bloated and dull.

QoS has a lot of really good ideas, with mediocre execution, with the exception of one brilliant setpiece (the villain/hero confrontation at the opera).

I hated it when I first saw it, now it kind of works for me.  Inversely, I really like World Is Not Enough initially.  Now…not so much.
