Oh yeah.  That had to have been back in high school, on New Years Eve when my friends and I had jack shit to do but watch movies.  And then the aforementioned friend was desperate to watch the film.

That "Star Is Born" scene with Mason is just brutal, and my favorite in the film…..the frame is so unstable, Cukor approaches it rather frighteningly.  You can never tell what's quite going to happen, but you know Mason's in for it.
