Just because someone loses doesn’t mean they were snubbed, and Smart certainly wasn’t snubbed for Mare of Easttown. Julianne Nicholson was a more than deserving winner (plus it’s no surprise at all people didn’t vote for Smart in that category when they knew they were voting for her in Comedy Lead).

Oh! I hadn’t heard about the confession. Thanks for mentioning it. It’s so sad that he wasn’t caught in Duncan’s lifetime and she never learned the truth.

It doesn’t feel like that many years ago that we wouldn’t see straight male actors playing gay characters at all and certainly not kiss (or more). It was really heartwarming and sweet to see.

Black Widow was an established, beloved character. Shang-Chi was a much lower-tier Marvel character being introduced for the first time. No one was expecting it to open as well as Black Widow before the pandemic; it would be ridiculous to expect it to open as well now, with or without BW’s D+ added in. (The lowest MCU

I give both episodes As. After more than 7 seasons of never showing anything more physically intimate between Holt and Kevin than hand-holding (at least that I can remember—and I’ve been watching and waiting for it), we finally get full-on, swooningly romantic kissing in the rain...and then another kiss at their

While Elle is not a flawless feminist icon (we never did get to see her interact with or advocate for people of color)

Thank you for the link to Dequina’s writeup of the original plot. I’d never seen that before, and it does sound like it makes a lot more sense than the release version, even if the film would have been a downer and (even less?) commercial.

I’m not worked up about it. I merely aiming for some factual accuracy on a site that is increasingly getting away from that.
